We started our forum in September of the year 2000. I became a Chiefs fan at a very early age. My dad was a Chief's fan and got me interested in the team. At first, I was a youngster that didn't understand the magic of the Kansas city Chiefs. Like many children, I tended to like teams based on the color of their uniforms. One team that stood out for me as a youngster was the Dallas Cowboys and their charismatic & legendary head coach Tom Landrey. On Christmas day 1972, I got my first taste of Chiefs magic. At what was at that time considered the longest game ever, the Chiefs lost a heartbreaking game in the playoffs to the Miami Dolphins. Surely the Chiefs would have gone to the Super Bowl that year & would have won it. I'll never forget that Christmas day watching my late father get so excited about the Chiefs. After that, it was pretty much Chiefs mania from there on in.

Being brought up in the Northeastern Pa area, a lot of people ask me, "Why the Chiefs"? This is what I tell them. My late father was a huge fan of the Red & Gold. People don't realize the rich history behind the Chiefs organization & its owner & founder, Mr. Lamar Hunt. The name Kansas City Chiefs stands for football excellence. It is one of the most successful franchises in the league. The Chiefs organization puts a quality product out on the field and has been doing so for decades. It's Red & Gold, cradle to the grave.

The road that we've traveled while building our Hardcore forum has been a rocky one. I'm sure many are aware of the problems we have encountered throughout the years. I will accept only a small part of the blame for some of the circumstances and drama surrounding the Hardcore forum. But I will say this - we have held our ground and we have kept at it. We consider our NEPA Hardcore forum to be one of the best Chiefs message boards on the internet. I've said it many times before & I'll say it yet again - you don't have to be the biggest guy on the block in order to carry yourself well. We don't need to post off topic content and boast about the number of people that we have on our board. NEPA Chiefs Hardcore houses some of the best hardcore Chief fans on the web. The friendship of the fans that I have made on our forum is worth more to me than anyone could know. I would rather have a small number of great fans like we have than 2,000 mediocre fans. Hopefully we will continue to bring you Chiefs football in its purest form. In closing, I'd like to thank my members. Without them, it would not have been possible to build such a board.
